About
TechSpace Bend (TSB) is a non-profit, co-working facility run by the Tech Alliance of Central Oregon. By providing a physical space for entrepreneurs and startups, investors, and our local tech community, we hope to create a more robust foundation for local economic growth and development.
That said, TSB is a bit of an experiment; it’s a dynamic undertaking with admittedly fluid goals, some of which include:
- Provide affordable office space to local entrepreneurs and early-stage startups
- Create a fun, creative space that can act as a hub of activity for our local tech community
- Provide easy access to meeting space for local user groups
- Help connect tech professionals, startups, investors, and economic development agencies
- Establish viability and price points for the co-working model in Central Oregon
- Generate a modest amount of working capital for the Tech Alliance and affiliated user groups.
TSB is fortunate to be located in the Old Cigar Building which, up until recently, housed G5 Search Marketing, a local business helmed by CEO, Dan Hobin. When G5 moved to a larger office space, Dan agreed to let the Tech Alliance use the space to start TSB. Our location in downtown Bend, just off Bond & Greenwood is ideal for our purposes. It is centrally located amid Bend’s restaurants and businesses and is easily accessible from Highway 97. We are also just steps away from EDCO and VisitBend.com, two of Central Oregon’s primary economic development agencies.
